Published Saturday, November 15, 2008

Dr. Gary Lamson was recently recertified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Lamson practices at Albert Lea Medical Center’s Alden and Wells clinics.

To achieve recertification by the ABFM, a family physician must verify the completion of 300 hours of acceptable continuing medical education over the past six years; possess a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States; and successfully complete a one-day written examination of cognitive knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

Lamson was initially certified by the board in 1983 and as part of maintaining that certification he must recertify every seven years. He is now certified through 2015.

Lamson has been with Albert Lea Medical Center since 1983. To schedule an appointment with him, call Alden Clinic at 874-3140 or Wells Clinic at 507-553-6341.

Dr Lamson is one of the kindest, sweetest, most knowledgeable doctors I've ever known. If he's your family doctor, he KNOWS your family. Just think he's the greatest!!!!
