Local orthopedic surgeon recertified by American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons

Albert Lea Medical Center orthopedic surgeon Michael Eckstrom was recently recertified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery means the orthopedic surgeon has met the specified educational, evaluation and examination requirements of the board.
Michael Eckstrom
Eckstrom was initially certified by the board in 1999 and as part of maintaining that certification he must recertify every 10 years. He is now certified through 2019.
Dr. Eckstrom specializes in general orthopedics including total joint replacement, hand surgery and sports medicine. He has worked at ALMC for seven years. To schedule an appointment with him, call 377-2111.
