Bethany Zogg named a runner-up in poster session

Bethany Zogg of Albert Lea and her partner, Connor Lambertson of Marshall, were runner-ups in the Sioux Valley Section of the American Chemical Society’s poster session held recently.
Four regional chemists representing industry, the University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University and Augustana College judged the 16 entries submitted by member colleges and universities.
Zogg is a senior and Lambertson a sophomore. Both are chemistry majors. The title of their poster is “Modeling the Polarity Rate-Relationship of the Methylation of Tributylamine with Dimethyl Carbonate.” Their mentors are Dr. Duane Weisshaar and Dr. Gary Earl.
