Here are local and area highlights in history for Nov. 27, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1983 — A snowstorm predicted for Thanksgiving was delayed for a few days before it hit the Albert Lea area, disrupting traffic and mail delivery.
1973 — Chuck Wolfe of Albert Lea bagged a 265 pound 10-point deer while hunting near Lakeville. His group of five hunters shot four deer.
1953 — Elder Adrian C. Woods of Fergus Falls was the new pastor of Albert Lea’s Seventh-day Adventist Church.
