Wind energy forum planned

An educational wind energy forum is being planned on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Hayfield. The forum will be an opportunity for participants to learn about commercial scale wind energy, wind rights and development options, land leases and agreements, Rural Development Initiative and more at this seminar for landowners and community leaders.

Participants are asked to bring an item for the local food shelf and should RSVP Beth Lecy at (507) 545-0112. Refreshments will be served. The event is being sponsored by the Mower and Dodge County Farm Bureau, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, Windustry, Rural Energy Development Initiative, Southwest Initiative Foundation, Clean Energy Resource Teams and Alliant Energy Community Partner.
