Flu shots now available at Albert Lea Medical Center

Flu shots are now available by appointment at Albert Lea Medical Center.
To schedule an appointment please call 379-2211. Flu shots will also be offered at regularly scheduled clinic appointments.
The cost of the vaccine is $31 for adults and $22 for a pediatric dose. Children younger than 9 years require two doses of the flu vaccine one month apart if it's the first time they've been vaccinated for the flu. Flu shots are covered by most insurance.
To schedule an appointment for a flu shot at one of ALMC's regional clinics please call them directly. Flu shots are also available at ALMC's Express Care location within Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave., Albert Lea.
According to the Center for Disease Control, October or November is the best time to get vaccinated, but you can still get vaccinated in December or later. Flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May.
