What is this?
Coleman not friend to working people
Published Thursday, October 23, 2008
Why am I not surprised that the Tribune would endorse Norm Coleman? Since going to Washington, D.C., Sen. Coleman has not been a friend to the working person, he voted more often than not for legislation that helped big business and Wall Street. He did author a children’s cancer bill that passed; that was good, and will benefit many people.
Al Franken is no dummy, folks. He went to Harvard, and if you have spent any time talking to him, like I have, you will see someone with more than just satire between his ears. I urge Albert Lea area residents to vote for Franken, especially if your children are going to need to rely on the federal financial aid system for a college education — and how many children can get by without that these days?
Don’t bankrupt Al’s run for Senate by voting for a man who bailed out the bigwigs of Wall Street. Al Franken understands what it means to be poor, he understands what it means to have money and use it wisely. He also listens to all people no matter their party affliation. Sen. Coleman is part of Bush’s regime. It is time for a change. Vote Franken!

You are voting against your economic interests if you vote Republican this year. Plain and simple!
We have gotten decades of "trickle down economics" and it has been a complete failure of an economic policy. No sorry a collosal economic failure. Should we really reward this performance by voting in the same people that got us into this mess?
Remember Bush's tax cuts and economic stimulus rebate that he gave all of us? Remember his rationale for giving money back to us that the government could not afford? He said it would stimulate the economy and create jobs. Guess what the economy is in the crapper and 800,000 thousand jobs have been LOST just this year. The most in decades. Minnesota's unemployement is now 6.2% which is HIGHER than the national average.
This is what is called voting against your economic interests.
* The Nasdaq is 65% lower now than its peak under Clinton 8 years ago.
* The Dow has lost 27% of its value in the past month thanks to Bush.
* You pay triple now for a gallon of gas thanks to Bush.
* You health care premiums have increased 80% thanks to Bush.
* You home is quickly on its way to be devalued thanks to Bush.
* And now food prices across the board are accelerating upwards.
* The middle class worker has seen their annual wages decrease by $2000.00 over the past 8 years
* $700 billion of our money has gone to Iraq to pay for a war that was a mistake
* $700 billion of our money has gone to bailout Wall Street
Oh but thank goodness for that $300.00 rebate check. Yippee

Where do we start with a reply. First if you believe in socialism and communism than your ramblings work for you great live in the wonderful world of Lien my friend please practice your songs. I would like a nice happy song as you send us off to the relocation opps I mean reeducation camps.
You blame a president like they can do anything. First if you understood the constitution that you are so will to turn your back on so that you can spread the wealth you would understand that a President can not spend money nor give money back. Only congress has the power to make or repeal taxes or give you a stimulas check. Plus why should you get money you didn't work for or that you didn't pay taxes on.
The markets are just that they are free markets. I didn't see you posting how bad life was just a few short months ago when both the DOW hit an all time high. Funny thing what goes up must come down. It is called the business cycle. The market has been regulated to the point where it can not even be called a free market. Your and mine desire to save for a retirement has changed the market. All those 401Ks have to find investments that return more than 10% or our money gets moved to a different investment. Not Bush or Clinton but you and me and the great need for more yep greed hate to tell you greed is good.
Health Care cost you more because of intervention by the government not because of a presidents. Get a life the world's problems are not caused because of one man. You give this guy way to much power and credit.
Homes have lost value because of the Frank and Dodd show not because of a president but again in your socialist world the state is not to blame, the individual is not to blame it has to be the evil business man. The same one who provides the jobs the one who gives you the highest standard of living.
If to make you feel better you need to blame someone blame the people you think are there to help you. The government. I challenge you if you have the guts to go and watch this report by ABC News John Stossel's Political report. It is broke up into segments watch them all it is not some right or left wing campaign ad. http://abcnews.go.com/2020
One last point. Until just a few years ago 5% unemployment was considered full employment. So learn your history before you speak. The current President can not have done this all by himself and remember that it is still the congress(currently a Dem congress) who controlls the money, the ablity to go to war. At least until the socialist take control with your help.

The writer is correct. Coleman is simply a Bush Behinder-Licker. He does not care about you as a person. His primary focus is his own political career. Let's send him back to New York where he came from.
