Obama’s taxes will hurt corporations

Published Thursday, October 23, 2008

There are forgotten issues in the 2008 election that deserves close attention. Americans need to know!

The Republican Party in the 19th century was formed over the issues of slavery. Today John McCain supports your “Right to Work” and opposes the 20th century form of slavery, the “exclusive majority bargaining agent.” Where a 51 percent majority in a government-designated bargaining unit can set up an overseer system that controls you on talking to your employer, it is forced subordination of the individual to the group.

Except in the 22 free “right-to-work” states, forced fees can be taken from your pay to support the overseers! Barrack Obama not only opposes “right to work” but supports the overseers by seeking to end true secret ballots and paycheck protection laws!

Better worry. Under Barack Obama and his mandatory wage, benefit and regulations plans, more jobs will probably go overseas and mandatory bargaining agents will only be one reason for job loss.

Barrack Obama’s carbon and other taxes will hurt corporations that are owned by pension, IRAs and other mutual funds. The retired will probably lose more.

Barack Obama entitlement plans will hurt all and subsidize what we don’t want! Some examples: Two 19-year-old females. One stays with her two parents and plans job savings and eventual marriage to a man then kids. (Natural reproduction and care of kids is the basics of marriage, not to be with “a significant other.”)

A 19-year-old female who has a child and is not married or does not choose adoption will probably find expanded free medical, welfare or EIC payments, subsidized housing and day care, plus WIC food stamps, Pell and college grants based on her income (not parents). Obama will subsidize more of what the U.S. does not need!

The choice is clear: McCain and Sarah Palin for president and vice president. She has more chief executive experience (state governor of our largest state) versus the three others’ Senate experience.

Candidates Brian Davis, Norm Coleman and Erik Larsen provide national and Minnesota legislative support for good government that is needed now. Vote for the best and ignore the rest.

You are voting against your economic interests if you vote Republican this year. Plain and simple!

We have gotten decades of "trickle down economics" and it has been a complete failure of an economic policy. No sorry a collosal economic failure. Should we really reward this performance by voting in the same people that got us into this mess?

Remember Bush's tax cuts and economic stimulus rebate that he gave all of us? Remember his rationale for giving money back to us that the government could not afford? He said it would stimulate the economy and create jobs. Guess what the economy is in the crapper and 800,000 thousand jobs have been LOST just this year. The most in decades. Minnesota's unemployement is now 6.2% which is HIGHER than the national average.

This is what is called voting against your economic interests.

* The Nasdaq is 65% lower now than its peak under Clinton 8 years ago.
* The Dow has lost 27% of its value in the past month thanks to Bush.
* You pay triple now for a gallon of gas thanks to Bush.
* You health care premiums have increased 80% thanks to Bush.
* You home is quickly on its way to be devalued thanks to Bush.
* And now food prices across the board are accelerating upwards.
* The middle class worker has seen their annual wages decrease by $2000.00 over the past 8 years. Meanwhile the top 5% now owns more than 70% of all the wealth in this country.
* $700 billion of our money has gone to Iraq to pay for a war that was a mistake
* $700 billion of our money has gone to bailout Wall Street

Oh but thank goodness for that $300.00 rebate check. Yippee!!

mnisgreat is lost. He gives way to much power to one man. How can Bush be such an idiot on one hand and then on the other the great puppet master pulling the stings and messing up all the liberals lives. But logic is lost on you. Please practice these words ALL HAIL THE GREAT SOCIALIST LEADER OBAMA. May he have mercy on our godless souls.

The general population in Freeborn Co. is not rich enough to support McCain. Obama is for the little guy. McCain is for the rich guy. Besides, Obama already has the election wrapped-up. McCain is going down in flames.

i also see it as a bit unfair when you blame bush for all of our problems. sure, he was a crappy president, but you have to think on the government as a whole. don't forget we had a republican-controlled government for 6 years; bush was far from the only problem.

and virginian, there's not point in blaming the "elected democrats" when republicans control both the house AND senate.

just a thought.
