Game site changed for Northwood-Kensett football game

Published Friday, October 31, 2008

The Northwood-Kensett Vikings will not host a first round state playoff game any longer. The Monday game against Central Elkader has been moved to the UNI Dome at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

The game time has also been changed to 6:15 p.m.

Central Elkader is approximately three hours away from Northwood and having the game at the UNI Dome puts both teams two hours away.

The No. 6 Vikings are 9-1 on the season and the Warriors are 8-2 on the season. Northwood-Kensett defeated Lisbon 48-21 Wednesday night in Northwood. Central Elkader busted up Rockford 41-18 Wednesday. If Northwood-Kensett where to win the game, the Vikings would play the quarterfinal game at the UNI Dome as well.
