The world has become a frightening place
Published Saturday, September 6, 2008
I am terribly tired of hearing of people of all ages doing wrongs. Our shoplifters every single day, our vandalizing every day, and now these girls that have hurt these vulnerable victims, their families and friends. The world is getting to be a frightening place to live. I believe that all people, all ages, need their names and addresses published. I feel that not all but maybe many would change from shame and disgrace. Our courts are more lenient and it takes so long to judge. We have had very good law officers bring cases to trial and end up with nothing. We need stricter laws and stop OKing what we were taught was wrong.

I think these young kids are having their minds, emotions and morals numbed by the media, certain music, movies, and video games and the violence in them. This is only part of it..parts of it comes from the home as well that they grew up in. My parents, grandparents and myself grew up in a different world.

It would also help if parents were able to give an old fashioned spanking too. That is not abuse, it is getting a couple swats on the behind with a hand done for love, NOT anger. Some of the kids now a days have no respect for other people, especially the elderly. I have seen how some of the kids treat their own parents, day care providers, teachers and other people in authority, it is appalling. Spare the rod and spoil the child. Too bad that both parents HAVE to work to make ends meet, that doesn't help either.
