Democrats are digging dirt on Gov. Sarah Palin

Published Saturday, September 20, 2008

While Mr. Ted Hinnenkamp’s Sept. 7 letter to the Tribune was singularly devoid of issues, he complained that the Republicans cannot hope to win if they run on issues. If fact, the whole effort of Mr. Hinnenkamp’s far left side of the political spectrum has been totally lacking in issues when it has come to Gov. Sarah Palin. The first thing Mr. Hinnenkamp’s candidate did after Gov. Palin’s announcement was mock and belittle her experience by saying she was just a mayor of a small town, ignoring her current position as governor of the state of Alaska. The far left has trumpeted every lie, rumor and innuendo they can dig up and the major media have run with them in an effort to destroy not only her but her family as well. In fact, less than two weeks after Sen. John McCain announced her as his running mate, nonpartisan Factcheck.org has had to set up a whole new section specifically devoted to the lies and smears being put out by Mr. Hinnenkamp’s colleagues on the far left.

About 30 Democratic operatives and opposition researchers are in Alaska to look for any molehill they can manufacture into a mountain. So look for more bogus scandals to come out of the Democratic/leftist smear machine.  I would recommend that you take them with a grain of salt, until you do some investigation of your own.

A quote from Rep. Tom Cole sums it up, "This is clearly a very liberated woman who is not liberal."

Unlike Sen. Barack Obama, who, when asked at what point does a baby get human rights in his view, responded, "Answering that question with specificity is above my pay grade" It's not a difficult question, but he wouldn't answer it.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Joseph Biden, During a television interview, he said, "So I just think some of the stuff said has just been over the top, totally unfair and I think it has been sexist and I think the way the governor has handled it has been admirable."

Sarah Palin is not qualified to be V.P. Her experiences and record indicate a very shallow level of experience and judgment. She did in fact hire 5 of her former high school classmates once she was governor. One classmate was a former real estate agent that was given the job of agriculture commissioner. She listed one of her qualifications as "liking cows when she was a child". (Quote Mpls Tribune 9/14/08) It always seems that whatever Democrats say it is a lie or a smear. The Republicans always tell the truth, just ask Nixon, Reagan and Bush.

As long as the Republicans keep putting lipstick on pigs, everyone else is going to talk about the pig.

Factcheck.org doesn't seem to be on the money. They point out that Palin never banned a book in Wasilla. That's right. They then dismiss the whole thing saying the city librarian remained in office for almost all of her time as mayor. A little tricky language was needed to make that a true statement. Here is what really happened.

Palin asked the librarian what she would do if she was asked to remove a book from the library. Palin didn't like the answer and fired her. She had to hire her back because of the public outcry.

So factcheck.org puts up their own straw man, that is not true in the first place, then knocks it down to prove there is nothing to the "rumor".

Palin has no bridge to no where in Alaska, but she still has the money. Why don’t you ask her to give it back. Maybe Minnesota can get some money for bridges that do go some where.

George,

I hope you are willing to take the bogus scandals from the republican/rightist smear machine with a grain of salt as well. Your party is also guilty of creating bogus scandals.

"Why don't you ask her to give it back" (bridge money)

Good idea!
