Panther girls’ cross country places fourth

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls’ cross country team finished fifth Tuesday at its home meet at Riverview Golf Course in New Richland.

Abby Crabtree led the Panthers with a fourth place finish and a time of 17 minutes, 28 seconds. Heather Schmidt placed 22nd with a time of 19:29 and Destinee Meyer finished 33rd with at time of 21:35. She was followed closely by teammates Alexandria Hale and Ash-lee Conley who had times of 21:54 and 25:21 respectively.

On the boys’ side Josh Schroeder took fourth place in the 5-kilometer race with a time of 19:10 and Brandon Espe had a time of 23:45.

Medford won the girls’ meet with 33 points and Mankato Loyola finished with 48 points.

Blooming Prairie won the boys’ meet with 67 points.
