Scam reported
Published Monday, April 20, 2009
Albert Lea police are investigating a report that on Sunday at about 2 p.m. a woman went to a home in the Johnson Street-Ulstad Avenue neighborhood and asked to use the bathroom. While in the bathroom, this person reportedly took prescription medicines.
The police department is asking anyone else who may be a victim of this type of scam to notify authorities and to be careful with anyone wanting to come into a home to use the bathroom.
Burn problems
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reported two problems on Friday with outdoor burning of leaves and trash, three violations on Saturday, and one on Sunday near Hayward.
One of the outdoor fires about 11:30 p.m. Friday in Emmons resulted in a burn violation charge for Michael D. Widboom, 23, no address listed, and citations for two teenagers for illegal consumption.

Could we please, have more information about this scam, like what did the woman look like? We don’t needed to know who the victim(s) are. It is hard to help law enforcement with so little information. People in or around that neighborhood may have seen something.

in this day and age i wouldn't let anyone into my house to use the bathroom or for any other reason. that's plain stupid. they're lucky all that happened was prescription pills being taken and not their lives.
