Offense goes missing for NRHEG baseball

Published Thursday, April 30, 2009

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva baseball team lost its second game of the week by two runs or less Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to Lake Crystal-Wellcome-Memorial in New Richland.

The Panthers suffered an 8-6 loss the night before against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown and Tuesday their bats went silent.

NRHEG (6-5, 3-3 Gopher) had just three hits and scored two runs. Eli Bushlack drove in both runs for the Panthers, one in the third and one in the fifth.

Adam Lewer was the hard-luck loser, throwing seven innings. He allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out two.
