Travel Class of Albert Lea

Published Saturday, January 31, 2009

Travel Class of Albert Lea met at the home of Lu Callstrom with Muriel Sargent as co-hostess. Quote for month was: “Focus on making things better, not bigger.” Carrie Schiltz shared reasons to have personal emergency response systems in our homes.  She is with FirstCall, a personal, professional 24-hour emergency response offered in partnership between Tri-County Electric Cooperative and Heartland Security.

Following the program, president Marlene Behle called the meeting to order. Eight members were present. Muriel Sargent reported a total of 770 Books for Kids remain for distribution. Members plan to write a newspaper article explaining the history of Books for Kids and KATE Radio will be contacted to share the story.
