Woman reports false fire
Holly Marie Nelson, 25, Albert Lea, was arrested by Albert Lea police for disorderly conduct, assault and criminal damage to property, based on an incident about 4 a.m. Thursday.
According to the police report, Nelson called 911 three times and reportedly used obscene language to report smoke in an apartment in the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue. The Albert Lea Fire Department responded and found no smoke and no fire.
Scooter operator charged
Donald Eugene Jensen, 54, Albert Lea, has been charged by Albert Lea police officers with felony driving under the influence for an alleged incident just before 6 p.m. Thursday.
The police report stated Jensen was operating a motorized scooter in a lane of traffic on State Highway 13 near Shoff Park.
