Trailer disconnects from semi cab, rolls

Westbound Interstate 90 was blocked for 2 1/2 hours Saturday morning after a semitrailer became unhitched. The trailer separated from the cab, rolled and then landed in the median, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The State Patrol report stated the incident took place at about 7:15 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 90 near milepost 160, which is close to the Interstate 35 cloverleaf interchange.

The driver of the semitrailer, Joel D. Groen, 58, of Luverne, was not injured.

The report stated Groen was traveling westbound on I-90 when the trailer disconnected and rolled. The cab did not roll.

The left lane and part of the right lane were blocked for approximately 2 1/2 hours, according to the report.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
