The name of the woman who was found Sunday at the Rainbow Terrace trailer court Albert Lea police officers and state officials are investigating was released Monday.

Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension mobile lab has been called to 730 Larimore Circle where the woman, who was identified as Jody Lee Morrow, 38, was found Sunday in the Rainbow Terrace trailer court. The entire trailer, including the entrance to Larimore Circle, has been blocked off with crime scene tape.

The man who police detained was identified as Chad Lee Gulbertson, 37.

According to a news release issued Sunday night, the police department received information of the death at about 11:48 a.m. earlier in the day. Officers responded to the address and found the woman.

“The circumstances surrounding the death appeared suspicious in nature,” the release stated.

More is expected to be released Monday morning after local authorities meet with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension team.

The incident is being investigated by the Albert Lea Police Department, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities could not confirm whether the death is a homicide.

The last homicide in Albert Lea was in 2005.

Why is it that I got this text alert just fine on my phone, but I haven't yet gotten the alert about the tornado watch we are currently under, which I also requested. The tribune screws it up again? Imagine that.

Kinda presumptive to blame the tribune ain't it? I mean have you EVER missed a call?

Today it's only a tornado watch. What if it was something serious like a tornado warning with a tornado on the ground in a part of town where the sirens can't be heard? If people are relying on the Tribune for potentially life saving information the Tribune is taking on an immense liability. If you promise to provide up to date information of this type of importance, then you also sign on for the responsibility. If you can't deliver, don't make the claim.

Good grief aquaman. Why don't you go after KATE radio too.
They had the Twins game on the last time the sirens sounded
and I don't recall they ever came on with a tornado warning. The sirens don't always function either then what would you do.

Good grief is right. A person is dead here and he's going on about a news report. The tv stations don't get the info right away either. My heart goes out to the family of the deceased.

I did get a text about a tornado warning, which is more important than a watch. Maybe the texts only do warnings for severe T-storm, tornado, wind, etc., not watches.

I can't believe that anyone could do this to anyone. She will be missed by her family and her boys. I hope this man feels bad and I hope he knows that he has hurt two little boys. They willf orever be without their mother now.
