Southwest choirs present concert this Thursday

Published Monday, March 2, 2009

Southwest Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade choirs will present a choir concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Southwest Middle School Little Theatre. The program’s theme is “Music in our Schools…Music in our World.”

Music for performance has been chosen that reflects peace, hope, unity and artistic spirit in song. The eighth- grade choir will share an artistic choral work by Steve Heitzeg, an Emmy-winning choral and symphonic composer from Kiester, who now lives in the Twin Cities.

The concert is free and open to the public. The choirs are directed by Sherry Seberson.
