NRHEG boys' golf delivers Blooming Prairie a loss

Published Friday, May 1, 2009

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva boys' golf team got four scores in the low 40s Thursday at Blooming Prairie to hand the Blossoms a 166-170 defeat.

Blooming Prairie was coming off the heels of handing Bethlehem Academy its first Gopher Conference loss in more than two years, but didn't have the depth in scoring quite like the Panthers.

Seth Hansen and Aaron Patraw led NRHEG with 41 while Jon Kormann and Dalen Ferber each shot 42.

The Blossoms were led by Derek Resler's 37 but their next best score was a 43 by Adam Wondra.

The NRHEG girls' golf team won 237-246 against Blooming Prairie with Shelby Whitcomb leading the way with a 55.

Brittni Wangsness and Hannah Moe each had 59s and Paige Sorenson added a 63.
