A special salute was made to Kirkwood Adams of Glenville on Saturday at the nation’s World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. Adams, a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, died on Nov. 13, 2008, and therefore was unable to make the honor flight to the nation’s capital.
