Residents of Good Samaritan Society-Albert Lea recently went on a quest to find the best burger. Between April 15 and April 29, Hazel Christensen, Eugene Turtness, Harriet Iverson and Marlin Flatness, judges for the contest, visited the Albert Lea Moose Lodge, The Office in Glenville and Nancy’s Cafe. Each restaurant donated free burgers, fries and drinks for the residents to enjoy at each location. The contest results were as follows: Best Burger: Nancy’s Cafe; Best Service: Moose Lodge; and Best Atmosphere: The Office. Here, the judges sit outside Nancy’s Cafe.

It's not a real burger contest if the Elbow Room wasn't involved. Everyone knows this. Of course, it wouldn't have been a competition if the Elbow Room had been involved either.

Agreed Jake, but it seems after looking at the judges another requirement would have been handicap access. Is the Elbow room handicap accessable?

Sounds like a fun experience for these Good Sam residents! I hope they enjoyed getting out on the town a bit. :)

What about Korner Kafe in Hayward? They have awesome food and huge portions. Might not be in town but worth the extra 10 minute drive to get there!!

Let's not forget the Sportsman Tavern. My vote for non-fast food burger in Albert Lea.

I am a burger pig, my vote is the Elbow Room hands down.
