Wolverine girls' golf pulls into tie for second in SEC with win

The Glenville-Emmons girls' golf team shot a season-best 229 in a victory over Houston Thursday in Houston.

The win put the Wolverines into a tie with Houston for second in the Southeast Conference.

Brianna Nelson shot 53 while Reina Saltou shot 56. April Davies shot 59 and Jenna Klingson added a 61.

Glenville-Emmons travels to Adams Friday to play in the Southeast Conference championship.

The Wolverine boys lost 168-194 to the Hurricanes.

Zach Wangen led Glenville-Emmons with a 47 while Cody Huston shot 48 and Josh Minear recorded his second round under 50 with a 49. Blake Lundmark added a 50 for the Wolverines.
