St. Theodore School is ready for its annual spaghetti supper

Weekend Planner

Published Thursday, November 5, 2009

St. Theodore Catholic School will hold its annual spaghetti supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Marian Hall.

Spaghetti and meatballs, breadsticks, Jell-O, cookies and lemonade and coffee will be served. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and younger. Preschoolers eat free.

“We hope people come out and enjoy a good hot meal,” said Russ Nemec, one of the event’s organizers. “It’s for a good cause.”

To-go meals will also be available for farmers who may be working in the fields during the supper. “We can understand if you don’t want to stop working, but you can still enjoy a hot meal,” Nemec said.

In addition to the meal, there will be a country store with homemade baked goods and crafts.

“People can Christmas shop early,” Nemec said.

He estimates there will be about 50 parent volunteers helping with the event and older students and alumni will be pitching in as well.

Mrs. Gerry’s, Vogt Distributing and Hy-Vee have provided food donations for the supper.
