Here are highlights in history for Nov. 8, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1992 — An investigation by the federal Immigration and Naturalization Service resulted in the arrest of 30 alleged illegal aliens working at Farmstead Foods.

1982 — The Weis Construction Co. of Rochester was proposing to build 30 housing units in the Channel View Urban Renewal Area between James Avenue and East Second Street.

1972 — Henry Savelkoul won out over Bob Goldman in the election to be the representative from District 31A in the state Legislature.
