Will fountains be out before freeze?

Published Saturday, November 7, 2009

During my recent trip to Minnesota, I had the opportunity for a brief visit to your city.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of your town, especially the picturesque downtown area. I’ve done some extensive travel in the Midwest and your town is among the best I’ve visited.

I was impressed by the little park on Fountain Lake. I believe it is referred to as New Denmark Park. The allure of the water fountains, especially at night is a very appealing touch. However, I was curiously puzzled, given the cold temperatures in Minnesota, that these fountains were still operating in early November. You should be proud of these fountains, and hopefully someone will remember to take them out of the water before the freeze, and totally ruin them.
