Corn field fire reported

A Sunday fire reported at 9:13 a.m. in a corn field near the intersection of County Roads 46 and 12 west of Albert Lea also involved a combine, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. The Alden and Conger Fire Departments responded and put out the field fire.

3 car vs. deer crashes

Weekend reports for the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office lists three separate incidents involving collisions between deer and cars in the rural area around Albert Lea.
