H1N1 poster contest winners
Published Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Glenville-Emmons fourth- and fifth-grade students participated in a H1N1 poster contest. The contest was organized in conjunction with Alden-Conger students. Freeborn County Public Health student nurses visited both schools and provided lessons on flu prevention and correct hand washing techniques. After the lessons, the students constructed posters.
The students received GE Wolverine blankets, hats or socks as their prize along with a kit for flu prevention. All students in the fourth and fifth grades received a flu prevention kit. The prizes were courtesy of the Freeborn County Public Health. The posters the students drew are on display at school for the other students to learn about flu prevention.
