Fires reported

A fire was reported in a cornfield on 620th Avenue in Alden at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, according to reports.

A combine fire was reported on the 86000 block of 190th Street in Oakland at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, reports stated.

A fire was reported in a cornfield on the 69000 block of 260th Street in Alden at 2:01 p.m. Wednesday.

Dog bites reported

An Alliant Energy meter reader was reportedly bit by a dog in Emmons on Friday, according to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports. The incident was reported at 8:21 a.m. Tuesday.

A second dog bite was reported in Glenville at 1:17 p.m. Tuesday. The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office log said the victim went to the Owatonna Hospital.

Windshield smashed out of squad car

The windshield was reported smashed out of a squad car at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday on the 2400 block of Island View Drive, according to Sheriff’s Office reports.

Car hits deer

A car reportedly hit a deer near the 23000 block of State Highway 13 at 1:14 a.m. Tuesday, according to reports.

Crash reported

A three-to-four car no injury crash was reported in front of the Gray Gables Apartments on Bridge Avenue at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports.

Business broken into

Edwards Manufacturing, 1107 Sykes St., was reported broken into at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday, according to police reports. Nothing was taken.

Car blocks street

A car reportedly rolled off the lot of Cars & Credit on East Main Street and blocked traffic for a time on Wednesday morning. Police reports state Tow ‘N’ Travel moved the vehicle back into the lot, and no one hit the vehicle.

Gas taken from vehicle

Gas was reported taken out of a car’s gas tank on the 800 block of Minnie Maddern Street at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday, according to reports.

Bike taken

A bike was reported stolen on the 200 block of Seventh Street in Albert Lea at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday. According to reports it was taken sometime the night before.

They definitely don't have enough to keep themselves busy that they have to go out and destroy or damage other people's property. Perhaps the tables will turn and it will happen to them in the future. I'm sure it will be a different story then.

Accident on Bridge ave near Gray Gables involved 4 cars and several injuries. News report was lacking in details.
