Here are highlights in history for Nov. 12, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1986 — Mike Magnuson was declared to be the Kiwanian of the Year by the Albert Lea Daybreakers Kiwanis Club.
1976 — The fall play for the students at Alden-Conger High School would be “On With The Show,” which was described as being a circus musical.
1936 — Albert Lea police were asking parents to keep their children off the thin ice covering part of Fountain Lake.
