Sons of Norway

Published Thursday, November 19, 2009

The Nov. 10 meeting of the Sons of Norway, Normanna Lodge 52, was called to order by President Orren Olson at 7 p.m.

The three national anthems were sung, accompanied by Karen Mandsager, followed by the pledge of allegiance.

Roll call was taken by Secretary Deb Stolarcek.

Olson introduced guests, Zone 5 Director Jodie Wallschlaeger and her husband, Joe, from Mankato.

The cheer committee had sent out two cards to members since the last meeting.

On Monday, lodge members will be preparing and delivering holiday baskets for shut-in members. Members were encouraged to bring fruit or wrapped goodies.

Birthdays and anniversaries were recognized, followed by the coin march.

Events for December include the Dec. 9 business meeting and potluck.

Officers of the month were Dick and Lee Bjelland.
