The Freemond Madson Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 447 met Nov. 9 with Eunice Hatleli presiding.
Treasurer Beverly Boone still has chances on the crocheted table cloth for sale until the December meeting. Call her at 373-6779.
Donations of $456.50 to Department of Minnesota Auxiliary veterans programs and community service were approved.
The charter was draped for members Julia Slegh, Betty Berven, Doris Norby, Evelyn Perkins and Carol Oakland.
Veterans Day activities at Southwest Middle School included distributing “Buddy” poppies to the students.
A thank you letter from Dept. Jr. Vice President Debbie Tweet was read in appreciation of the reception luncheon for National President Jan Tittle on Oct. 20.
First District Post and Auxiliary meetings will be at Hanson Raabe V.F.W. Post, 104 S. Broadway St. in Spring Valley from 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 5.
Betty Jones served lunch. Marcia Petersen won the door prize.
A potluck supper will be held before the Dec. 14 meeting at 6 p.m. for post and auxiliary members and their partners. Bring a dish to pass and some sweets.
