Here are highlights in history for Nov. 25, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1991 — The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors visited Wedge Nursery, rural Albert Lea, a few days earlier to salute the firm for being Santa’s helpers.

1981 — A musical group called the “Plowboys” would be appearing at Albert Lea’s Eagles Club on the Friday evening after Thanksgiving.

1971 — The Rev. William Bankster of Hollandale’s Conservative Congregational Church for 20 years, had accepted a call to serve at a church in Freeport, Ill.
