Here are highlights in history for Nov. 26, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1992 — This was the “first ever Thanksgiving Souvenir Edition” of the Albert Lea Tribune. This issue was based on holiday features.

1982 — The Albert Lea High School boys’ hockey team, coached by Roy Nystrom, would be opening their new season with a game at New Ulm.

1972 — The Albert Lea High School boys’ hockey team, coached by Les Etienne, lost its first game of the season to the Rochester Mayo Spartans with a score of 5-3. This game was played at the Shattuck Ice Arena in Faribault.
