Wine tasting raises $7,500 for United Way
Nice to Know
Published Saturday, November 28, 2009
United Way of Freeborn County volunteers would like to thank everyone who attended and supported Fountain Warehouse Liquor’s Wine Tasting on Nov. 6.
Everyone had a wonderful time, thanks to the efforts of the staff and management at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club. The decorations were beautiful and the hors d’oeuvres were delicious. Wedgewood Cove very graciously donated the room space for the evening.
Thank you to Ron Freeman of Fountain Warehouse Liquor and the wine and beer vendors who supplied samples for everyone to try.
Thank you also to the Albert Lea Tribune, KATE/KCPI Radio, Power 96 and the Shopper for providing advertising.
And, finally, thank you to the following silent auction donors: UWFC board members, Vision Plus Optical, Fisher’s Fine Jewelers, Freeborn Lumber, Classic Reflections Salon & Spa, Studio 22, Cedar Valley Services, Community Education, Power 96, KATE/KCPI Radio, The Children’s Center, Krieger Beverage, Jim Stark, Barry Jacobson, Tonia and Bob Lauer and Beth Goodman.
