Poetry about the health care debate

Published Saturday, October 24, 2009

It’s not bad enough that one has to live with cancer, diabetes, ileostomies, just to name a few. The kicker is you have to pay so much extra money for these hopefully temporary setbacks. Isn’t it true?

So to top off the problem you get the financial burden, with all your money going out. And when it comes to health and medical expenses so outrageously high, one could almost shout! Yet to win your health battle, whatever it might be, depression could only bring the end for thee. So you must go on and know it’s going to work out in the end. Hang on to your faith, and in new health you’re healing prayers to send.

We must not just simply exist in life, we must live! Greatest joy deepest within a heart is when we give.
