Albert Lea gave a friendly welcome

First, congrats to Peggy Havener on her achievements with Blue Zones. The last paragraph of her story of Oct. 21 states that Albert Lea is a “very difficult community to come in to.” I couldn’t let that stand because my experience is the opposite. After living in three states and eight towns, I moved here seven years ago and have found Albert Lea to be the friendliest place of them all. I found this town on the Internet and came here not knowing anyone. Yet I was made to feel at home by the friendly people I met all over town. Thank you, Albert Lea.
