Man who crashed motorcycle passes away
Alden resident survived for 8 days after the collision

The 28-year-old Alden man who crashed last week while riding his motorcycle about a mile west of Gordonsville died on Thursday.
The man, Dillon J. Gordon, had been listed in critical condition at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester since the crash the night of Sept. 9.
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports stated Gordon missed a curve on Freeborn County Road 1 — aka State Line Road — and struck a sign on the 797th Avenue corner. The curve is about a mile west of Gordonsville.
When authorities found him he was unresponsive.
He was transported by Mercy Airlift to a hospital in Mason City, Iowa, and later taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Gordon has many relatives in the community.
His obituary likely will be in the Sunday edition.

How terribly sad that Dillin passed away. It's my ubderstanding that Dillon was an organ donor and he passed his life to others in need. Dillon, you will be missed by so many! R.I.P. Dillon Gordon.

Dillon will be missed by many - he was a great person and very loved. He will be remembered kindly by those that knew him and by all those touched by his generous final gift of organ donation.
