Editorial: Favre was a good choice

Published Tuesday, September 29, 2009

This Editorial Board takes back anything critical it said about the acquisition of quarterback Brett Favre by the Minnesota Vikings.

And so are many Vikings fans.

And if you haven’t already, you probably should, too.

After years of quarterback controversy, the Vikes finally have their leader.

Sure but I still stand by my earlier one season wonder mantra the Vikes live by, he's our leader, but for how long?

I had flash backs to all the times we were beat by Favre in a similar fashion. Now he is doing it for the Vikings.

I just saw the greatest comeback in Viking history orchestrated by Brett Favre. What a cresendo at the end of a long drive when 2 seconds to spare, both feet in for the catch, and a TD to win! I did advise fans to sit back and enjoy watching one of the greatest QBacks to ever play the game. That was an understatement. Win or lose, the Vikings are a very exciting football team. Brett Favre is a Hall of Fame QB no matter what happens this year.
