Larson Contracting was founded in Emmons, Minn., by Allan and Linda Larson.

Starting with just eight employees in 1977, the Larson Contracting staff now numbers approximately 120 employees, some of whom have been with the company since it began. It is this kind of dedication from within that carries over to each new project and has been instrumental in creating a reputation for high quality work, on time and within budget. In 1979, Larson Contracting became a building distributor for Kansas City-based Butler Manufacturing Co., the premier manufacturer of pre-engineered building systems in the United States. Realizing the tremendous growth potential in the Upper Midwest, the company was relocated to Lake Mills, Iowa, in 1982. A second office can be found just across the state line in Albert Lea, Minn.
