Of the four major Albert Lea special events, which is your favorite?

After attending several county fairs since growing up and moving from Freeborn County, I still think the Freeborn County Fair is the best county fair. It is rivaled only by Steele County and the Minnesota State Fair. Living in Blue Earth County, the fair grounds is a camp ground the rest of the year and for the size of Blue Earth county, the fair is pathetic. I always try to get back for the Freeborn County Fair.

We love the 4th of July in Albert Lea. From the parade to the Fireworks over the Lake. It is a great showing of pride. We have had family in from South Dakota this weekend, they really enjoyed what we have.

Each event is a blast but the Eddie Cochran Weekend was REALLY busy this year! I'm looking forward to seeing how the Fair is from my new CENTURY 21 BOOTH.

After moving three states away after high school - I still make a trip back to Albert Lea for the 4th of July fireworks. The best I have ever see - ever! And all due to donations!!! Awesome!

I agree with michie62. Freeborn County Fair is a better fair. I have also been the the Blue Earth County Fair, and you cant even compare the two! I also have been to Faribault County and Nicollet County fair, niether of those are as good as Freeborn County Either. I enjoy going to the Freeborn County Fair, as I see alot of people who I dont get to see very often. Keep up the good work Fair leaders however I do miss the tractor pull :(
