June 3: Smoke rises in the morning from the Waste Management building that burned down the night of June 2. Multiple fire departments responded to the fire, and the smoke could be seen for miles. The company was just issued a building permit to construct a new building.

Sheryl Olson pushes on the warning lights of her bus before stopping to pick up a student on Fountain Street in Albert Lea. At first, orange flashing lights come on to warn drivers of the stop, and then they turn red when the bus is stopped.
