This Victorian-style home, once known as the “Watland Home” at 321 Grove Ave. was demolished in May 1973 as part of the project to build the new Naeve Hospital. It was constructed in 1885 for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jorgenson and later owned by their daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. A.O. Watland. The ivory color on this home matches the one of the colors of a classic car once associated with the Jorgensons and Watlands that’s now owned by a man in Illinois.
