Albert Lea wrestler Ben Berhow won a state title his senior year and recently took on the best wrestlers in the Western Hemisphere at the Junior Pan American Games in Ecuador.

Participants in a recent Albert Lea Community Education class were delighted to learn more about how to achieve their writing goals, thanks to the help of published author, Jean Tennant, who shared her own personal experiences. Tennant taught a day-long Writing Seminar & Workshop giving the class many helpful tips and advice on how they can make the best of their efforts. She graciously conducted a book signing for her newest book, "Olivia's Birthday Puppy" (about adopting a pet from the local animal shelter). She also promoted her soon-to-be published book, "Walking Beans Wasn't Something You Did With Your Dog", which is a collection of short stories about life in the midwest. Shown having her personal copy of Tennant's new book autographed is Marcy Bolinger of Albert Lea.
