I'm not saying anything good or bad either way, just statin' the facts here: The 4-period day, "block scheduling," actually allows students to earn more credits than on the 7-period day. In the block schedule, there are 4 terms, 4 classes per day, which equals 16. On the 7-period day, there are 2 semesters per year, which equals 14.

I don't think you pretentious at all, Mr. Engstrom. I love the way you touted SO MANY great features of our town. So you happen to live among some of the greatness and chose to write about it...good for you! Oh, and PS: you should invent more words like 'neighborliness.'
