Great reminder for parents to check their car seats! The most common mistake I see parents make (other than the straps being too loose) is with the infant seats that you can take out and carry with you. When you have them in the car most models require that the handle be put down and not left up! It becomes a danger to the child if there is a crash.

Over the last 10 years or so I have noticed how quick parents are to blame others for the mistakes of their children. Maybe if more parents made a point of turning off the TV and sitting down to a family dinner at night before helping their kids with their homework they would do a little better in school. I have friends who are teachers and the last few years they feel like little more than glorified babysitters.

3trees, actually you should be able to file an abatement with the accessor if you feel that the value of your home is lower than the tax market value the county has. They would come an appraise your home. At least that is true in Hennepin County, I am sure Freeborn County does something similar. Worth a try- good luck!
