diesel - are you telling me that someone who is actually mentally ill and kills themselves is capable of asking for forgiveness before they die? If they are really mentally ill (I mean in the medical sense), how are they capable of that. If they are schitzophrenic (I know I can't spell) and "hear voices" telling them to jump off a bridge and they do it, they are going to hell? Really? What kind of God what do that? Hopefully not the one I worship.

I think even the Catholic church changed their position on that if I remember right. Maybe one of you Catholics can help me out on that one?

Levitcus 20 verse 13:

“If a MAN lies with a MAN as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

Ok then. Sorry men, you are out of luck. But as a woman, I can "get it on" with another woman. Cool.

Well it has been awhile since I've been out here but BabyGotBack is back!

Maddie - While I agree that you can't help your sexuality any more than you can your race, I need to remind you that you can't hide your race. You don't HAVE to tell people you are gay. I can't exactly conceal the fact I am bi-racial - unless I wear a wig and get a good, professional make up job.

But I agree with what you are saying overall. If someone is gay, that's just who they are. We shouldn't hate or discriminate!

Peace everyone!

Because he is black and that is what they are identifying with. But he is also white.

Halle Berry is considered the first black woman to win an Oscar even though she too is of mixed race. Think of it as she is the first African American woman to win. Even though she is other races (don't know off hand what ethnicities her mother is).

What else do I want? Nothing else from this guy. Hopefully he will learn from this.

As far as the incident with the police officers goes, I see both sides of it. I think Obama had good intentions with the "summit". Having said that, this kind of thing happens - on both sides - probably daily so a bit surprised it escalated the way it did. I see fault on both sides of that incident and wish it hadn't escalated.

BF - I am flattered that you actually remembered that about me! Shows you pay attention. Props for that!

How someone describes Obama is a matter of personal preference but I would say biracial as that is how I describe myself. I also say "mixed race" and even "brown" but that isn't as commonly accepted. Blacks say he is black, because he is. But he is also white so a white person could argue he is white.

I was only using McCain as an example. He doesn't come across "angry" so much.

Yes, there are blacks who make comments about whites. Louis Farrakhan and Malcom X come to mind. There are also blacks who call biracial people "zebra", for example. None of that is right.

This guy was just plain stupid to do this when running for office. The "black" comment was unnecessary, period.

Of course you can! People of all races say inappropriate things. Doesn't make it right. But not everyone is running for public office either. That was a bonehead move.

I'll bet you would have a "strong opinion" on this if a black politician or public figure called John McCain an "angry white man" wouldn't you?

And for the record, I am half white and married to a white man. I just find it ridiculous that race was even brought up - why??? And he didn't even address his race correctly. Obama is half white!

Why bring his race up at all?

And he is biracial, not black, so he should have said "A power hungry black and white man" or "A power hungry biracial man". Why focus on the black part of his ethnicity? What about the white?

This guy is a "white" fool for Twittering this when he is running for a public office. What a "white" idiot!

See how ridiculous it is.

Geez - some of you need to lighten up!

Don't get so defensive just because people make suggestions for other genres of music! They are just suggestions or in my case fantasies as I know Sir Mix-A-Lot won't likely ever come.

But let me dream please! I can hear the song now.....

Now I have the song "Elvira" in my head! :)

Since my dream of Sir Mix-A-Lot will likely not come true, how about some old disco type of music? Donna Summer, The Village People, Rose Royce? Earth, Wind and Fire would be hot too but they probably wouldn't play this venue. Donna Summer probably wouldn't either.

Oh well - we can only dream.
