My opinion is that you probably should have asked the group you signed up with if you could play with them. They probably didn't want to play a 3-some and scrambled to get a fourth. Unknown to them, you signed up and they didn't even know about it. Besides, the group behind them only had three and you played with them so what is the big deal?? Why is this Jeff's fault? Also, I play about 20 different courses a year in MGA and other events so I don't know where you claim I'm in the Green Lea rut. I also plan on playing Wedgewood on occasion so I am assuming I will see you out there?

Mark Carlson/ MR.ALBERT LEA,

I worked out at Green Lea from 1995 to 2003 and a member ever since. I don't recall you being a member at any time during the past 13 years. I know your dad was a member and active in many events over the years, but don't ever recall seeing you out there? I must not have been working or playing during the times you were at the course??

I've seen 6-somes out there before playing best shots, but it is typically during the end of the day when the course is not busy. I won't dis- agree with you that occasionally a group might cut in front of another group which is un-called for, but it is never approved by the management. In fact, I have seen the management get very upset with these situations. Therefore, your inside information is wrong about the management letting their friends do anything and run the course. I've also seen several players pay for only 9 holes and end up playing holes 10, 11, and 12 in addition. Maybe you were one of these players, or the member that told their guest it would be ok because they will never know?? They then walk to their cars thinking it was ok to play more than they paid for. To me that is stealing any way you look at it. Every time we approached them on it, they either told us they never played extra holes (even though we watched them from the pro-shop) or they got mad, paid, and complained.

You should come out there and play once next year Mark, the course is in way better shape than it was back in the 80's when I think you played. Mike Carlson has done a great job on the condition of the course and in my opinion is one of the better superintendents in Southern Minnesota.

Well MRALBERTLEA, If you want to talk about my lack of talent 13 years ago and the poor field at the Shortstop, I'll be gald to. Just let me know and I'll be glad to meet you anytime.

I find it kind of funny that I come on here with an opinion and real name, then someone with obviously no self-esteem can sit back and rip me for something not even related to the subject?

My opinion is that Royce was a good player and should work hard and enjoy whatever is offered to him in the future. The reality is that there are a million good players in this world with the same dreams so one needs to be smart enough to differentiate themselves from the rest to move on and find a way to be better. They also need to be smart enough to realize when the next level isn't in reach and just enjoy life and the sport they love. I strongly beleive parents need to be smart enough to realize this too!

thunder,

what is your name as I see you wanting to know everybody else's? Seems like you are just another one of those people trying to live a dream through someone else and have come to realize that dream will never come true. Just my opinion.

Well I see my friends are up to their old tricks again!

For the record we are not engaged yet, and are not expecting any babies anytime soon.
