Looks like Freeborn County isn't the only one dealing with a similiar situation like this one:
From the Fillmore County Journal-District Court August 24th:
On August 17, 2009, Braden Dylan Knutson, a 22-year old Ostrander man appeared before Judge Robert R. Benson for sentencing. Knutson pled guilty to four counts of criminal vehicular homicide, three felonies and one gross misdemeanor, which occurred in Ostrander on May 21, 2008. Knutson was found guilty of driving recklessly with a blood alcohol level of 1.6 that resulted in speeding and "road jumping," that ultimately led to the death of another individual. The maximum penalty for all four counts carried a possible sentence of 40 years in prison and $80,000. The defendant was sentenced to 57 months to the commission of corrections with two-thirds of those 57 months to be served in prison and one-third of the time on supervised release. Knutson also faced 23 months, 15 months and 365 days of jail time to be served concurrently, and Judge Benson waived all fines, surcharges and fees. Restitution has been reserved for 90 days to permit time for affidavits restitution to be prepared. Knutson was remanded to authorities at St. Cloud on August 19, 2009, where he began serving his sentence.

Its really sad to see that the working moms get no treatment but the moms without jobs who decided to have a one night fling will be eating better then everyone else. Keep up the good work working class people because there are 140,000 welfare folks who are depending on our (working class) assistance.

I wish they would stop referring to these adult women as teenagers. The paper makes them sound like they are sweet little girls who didn't do nothing wrong. There needs to be harder verbiage used to actually describe these abusers.

Lets keep cutting stuff for the kids to do so maybe more of them will find an interest in hitting mailboxes. And then with the cut in Police the kids won't get caught. Gotta love the way the people in charge think. I just love how there is no talk ever about any government jobs being cut - lets just keep cutting the jobs that actually keep the city looking nice. How much money is being wasted by these people sitting around brainstorming?

Get over it with the snowplow trucks!! They are doing a job! I suppose that if they were to stop and go around the mail boxes you would write on here how the county plows are doing a crappy job plowing the snow. Have you ever been in a plow truck or ever pushed snow? Maybe you should take a ride on snowy icey day and see how well you do. Just a thought.
Why don't you get the new set up for rural mail boxes so when the plow comes by your mail box will swing around? Also if you don't like maintaining your mailbox then you can always rent a PO Box at the post office. Just an ideal.

And I am sure that you could do much better? We are only human and golf is not something that always seems to go the way you want it to go. Plus its really crazy how balls can just go missing when there is 20+ people standing around.........sounds a little like the crowd had something to do with the outcome of the tournament this year. Only in Albert Lea.
