I think what really needs to be remembered here is we don't always make the right desicions in life.

Maybe a gathering at a house when parents are home for a Birthday. Possibly nothing bad happend that night when kids where driving home but it could have, it could have been exactly the scene the mock drill is trying to prevent and it still doesn't make a good desicion.

Good to see the kids standing up. I agree with them. Everyone makes mistakes. To call this good kid a rat is not right.

Good job at being proactive rather than waiting to the last minute!!

These people just want the students maybe their district is hurting more.

I would rather send to Northwood than North of Glenville-Emmons!!

I hope manowar didn't think I was for cutting sports because I'm not. I think this is the time for kids to do these things in life because most won't do them in college. I also think that these are the things that will keep them active in adulthood. This country is already facing an obesity problem.

Education is why they are there but they also have to have their time. If going to a 4 day week continues the education system as is, save money, and lets the kids have their time at sports I'm all for it.

On Glenville-Emmons parents favor plan to switch to a four-day school week

I've done some checking on this issue and I think the $50,000 is a very conservative number for this type of action. I believe the thought was to figure low.

As for daycare there will be a whole high school of kids that could use a job on that day. I know it is a cost issue but what's it worth to have a school in your town.

I also have concerns but I think the benifits out weigh the concerns in my opinion.

Your right about the gym. I will not debate that point. I won't debate the volleyball coach as I don't have much information on that.

I would say check out the quality Glenville-Emmons has now as far a acedemics. I had grade school kids then and now and I think now is far more superior. That's my opinion. I also think the teachers are pretty good. I won't say all there are a few that I wouldn't mind to see go.

I can't believe you would say I hate Emmons!!! My first post on this issue was I have respect for most of the Emmons people that I know. I was only pointing out the smaller numbers of students from that area.

Playing devils advocate is OK but I'm going to come back at you with every fact that I have.

I know both school buildings are Glenville-Emmons schools, I also have family that lives in both communites. Most my comments are what I thought were better for the kids to have vialbe school for the longest period of time. I love small schools and would not want to send my kids anywhere else.
