GoClonses,

I was not there or dont know much about it but I think it would be the responsibility of the driver of the pontiac. Just because the vehicle in front of him was going slower or even if itslowed quickly doesnt mean anything. It appears the driver of the pontiac didnt give himself enough time to react which means he was either going to fast, not paying attention, or something. If you rear end someone, ITS YOUR FAULT!!!

GH2ORepub,

Dont you think that wearing a seatbelt can protect you from other drivers also? Such as a driver on drugs or alcohol, or someone falling asleep or having a medical condtion. Seatbelts save lives and help prevent serious injury. Become a firemen or firewomen and go to some of these accidents where people dont use seatbelts and you will likely change your mind especially when a child is involved!!!! Alot more people die on the roadways than from murderers or in your words people who shoot others!

I would not call them cowards!!! I thank them for that work, going into a residence that could have armed people!! I would hope they would use a flashbang and all possible tools to keep themselves safe!!!!!!! I am sure they have families too!!! You citizens of Albert Lea should be thanking your police!!!

I find reading some of your comments interesting. Those of you who are bashing the police would be the first to complain if it was your guns and they didnt do anything or even if they had not done anything in this case. I feel bad for any officer in Albert Lea, who would want to work there with people like some of you living there. Let them do thier JOB!!!! In some other cities people wish the police would do more, be thankful they are out there working!!!

Also, just because they didnt find the guns didnt mean they were not there at one point, did anyone ever think they could have been moved before the police got there.

Officers will find find junk in yards during their regular patrols or on a complaint basis and then deal with it. Same as parking and animal complaints.

I would say cut the CSO and let the licensed officer work on CSO jobs during thier down times. CSO's cannot respond to alot of calls and are restricted in what they can do where an officer can do ALL of a CSO's job.
